NRG Consulting lead to direct cost savings

Sheraton Hotels is a bye-word for quality across London.  Sited in the most suitable places for the business traveller, they offer a high standard of facilities as well as a luxury accommodation.

Sheraton started their discussions with NRG Consulting when they wanted to find a suitable fax machine to use in some of the business guest bedrooms.

Whilst studying the equipment already in use in the hotels, and the use to which it was put, NRG Consulting recommended a machine that was not only simple to use, but would also provide costs savings and better functionality if it was used as the in-house machine as well.

Although the success of the fax project has now largely been replaced by email provision, the relationship with NRG Consulting continued to grow.


A survey of all paper-producing equipment was undertaken in all of the London hotels.  Location, type, usage and cost information was captured for all of the copier, fax and print equipment, so that a 'cost-per-page' could be calculated for each separate machine.

NRG Consulting used the results to derive tailor-made recommendations for each area of each hotel, often suggesting the use of the then innovative multi-functional equipment.

In addition to saving costs, the extra functionality of these machines provided usage benefits for staff.  Floor space was also regained.
