Monitoring Creative Output at McCann-Erickson

'Not only has it passed the quality criteria of one of Europe's finest creative departments, but the financial savings are enormous.'

World leader enjoys cost savings and higher quality printing.

With offices in over 130 countries and more than 70 years of global experience, McCann-Erickson is the leader in multinational advertising, handling more global accounts than any other ad agency.

When it became clear that the London HQ was unhappy with their copier supplier, NRG stepped in and won the business. As nine digital copiers went into Head Office, ready to be connected to the network, the client relationship entered a new phase. Three digital colour copiers followed, and then things started getting serious.

The company were moving to a new building where they wanted all their document handling on the network. NRG Consulting were called in and presented a pilot scheme which would save McCann-Erickson £250,000 over five years. Out came the old printers and copiers, to be replaced by the much more cost-effective NRG solution.

At the same time, the ad agency's studios were using Tektronics colour printers for pitch and presentation work. It's crucial for creative departments to have both fast and high quality colour run-outs of their latest artwork. Far too often, output falls below the highly professional standard required and there can be a great deal of waste. NRG's exciting digital colour printer was proposed and put to the test passing with flying colours, such that a further 10 machines were installed.

Not only have they passed the quality criteria of one of Europe s finest creative departments, but the financial savings are enormous.

The increase in capital outlay is more than offset by radically reduced running costs. A meter counter enables departments to keep a close eye on expenditure.

'McCann-Erickson has a proud history of long-term client relationships.'
