The solution for GKN Head Office had to satisfy the demands of two busy office environments, plus a heavy-duty reprographics department. On top of this, installation in a sensitive venue required advanced project management skills, which included liaison with the Police!

Factors such as minimising disruption to the working day are taken as a matter of course. What is less usual is having to liase with the Police and the client organisation when the time comes to install machines.
Being in a busy street and directly opposite St. James's Palace, the London Office presented a unique difficulty. Following discussions with local Police officers and others concerned with Royal security, it was decided that delivery would take place at 7.00am. To minimise disruption, we also delivered to Redditch at 7.00am.
Delivery to both locations was completed within two days of each other.
The machines were set up the same day as they were delivered - and before close of play, everyone at GKN knew how to perform simple copying. The following day a Customer Training Officer trained all the staff on the many functions of the machine.
